Fight With Thrill – Valorant Esports

Have you ever thought about building your own valorant team which competes in VCT?

Well, At the early stage of the esports industry Building a team and sustaining it can get real hard. Today we will deep dive into the Valorant Esports Orgs survival techniques.

Let’s first talk about the ways an Esports org earns. The ways are as below:

-Content Production:
Making youtube videos or any type of content comes under this sector. Although it is really hard to pop off on YouTube. Initially they have to keep producing content and hope for the time when their channel gets popular. This takes determination and a decent investment on camera, mic and other peripherals. Audiences love to connect with the players they watch playing on stage. That’s why making content on YouTube or other video platforms can hook fans into being their audience.

-Merch:
Making their teams custom merchandise is also a good way to gain profit. Nowadays most of the esports orgs have their own merchandise. People love to wear their favorite team’s jersey or wear customized hoodies, T-shirts, pants etc. to represent the team. However, A consistently winning team earns more from their merchandise than a losing team. Meaning, It will require a team to be performing well so the fans buy their merch without hesitation. Fans would hardly spend their money buying a losing team’s merchandise.

-Sponsors/Partnerships:
Orgs look for sponsorships or partners to work with. Sponsors are those who pay the org for advertising their products or service. And partners work with the organization to customize a specific product according to the team’s vibe/style.
There are many peripheral sponsors who are acquiring the market right now. Such as- Zowie for monitor, Secret lab for gaming chair etc.
Many orgs partner with brands to launch some interesting products in their own style. For example Sentinels partnered up with Advanced.gg and launched “Hopium”

-Patreons/Exclusive Community:

Esports Orgs make their own community thing where people can access more stuff about the players. Fans love to have more insights or the glimpse of their daily life so this business works well. Sentinels have “sensociety” which runs on a monthly/yearly subscription model.

All the above mentioned ways will work well only when the team is performing at a decent level. Basically it’s tough for an org owner to sustain if the team is not doing good. Even the Sponsors are trying to move out of the esports scene. Because many organizations couldn’t meet what they promised to the sponsors. So the sponsors are also having a tough time sailing here.
Fans expect a lot from the team when buying their custom merchandise/subscribing to the exclusive community. That’s why if the team performs badly, we all know the organization owners are in trouble.

One more thing, Riot Games added some in-game skin bundles featuring the Tier-1 teams which are competing in the VCT 2024. When people buy the bundles. Half of the revenue is shared with the Team organizations. This helps the teams a lot in order to sustain in the esports scene.
